The King of Spain's daughter.

Katty arrived at Canaote in the afternoon, last Saturday. She is a baby of only two months. She is the third small child to be brought to us in just a few months. The scandalous trade in wild life goes on unabated,. When oh When will the authorities act decisively to stop this wicked trade? This poor little mite torn from her mother and the mother assassinated.
Our picture shows her this morning in a small nut tree in front of our compound. She liked it yesterday so here we are again today. It brought to mind the nursery rhyme, 'I had a little nut tree'. Particularly because the original poem told of the visit of King Ferdinand of Spain, with his daughter Katherine or modern nick name 'Katty'. So what has it to do with our baby Katty?

I had a little nut tree,
Nothing would it bear
But a silver nutmeg,
And a golden pear;
The King of Spain's daughter
Came to visit me,
And all for the sake
Of my little nut tree.

Her dress was made of crimson,
Jet black was her hair,
She asked me for my nut tree
And my golden pear.
I said, "So fair a princess
Never did I see,
I'll give you all the fruit
From my little nut tree.

The characters in the nursery rhyme 'I had a little nut tree' are believed to refer to the visit of the Royal House of Spain to King Henry VII's English court in 1506. The 'King of Spain's daughter' refers to the daughter of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain. There were two daughters, Princess Juana and her sister Katherine of Aragon. The princess in the nursery rhyme is probably Katherine of Aragon who was betrothed to Prince Arthur, the heir to the throne of England. Arthur died and Katherine eventually married King Henry VIII. It was sad that "So fair a princess" had such a difficult life with Henry as she was the first of Henry's six wives and discarded by the King to make way for Anne Boleyn. Queen Katherine was much loved by the British people who hated her replacement, who they called 'The Great Whore'. The young, beautiful princess relates to the young Katherine, as a princess and is immortalised in this old nursery rhyme .

La hija del rey de España.

Katty llegó a Cañaote de la tarde, el sábado pasado. Ella es un bebé de sólo dos meses. Es el tercer hijo pequeño que han traído a nosotros en tan sólo unos pocos meses. El comercio escandaloso de la vida silvestre sigue sin disminuir, ¿Cuando las autoridades van  actuar con decisión para detener este comercio? Esta pobre monita fue arrancada de su madre  luego de haberla asesinado.
Nuestra imagen les muestra esta mañana en un árbol de la nuez pequeña en frente de nuestro complejo. A ella le gustó ayer, así que aquí estamos de nuevo hoy. Me hizo recordar la canción de cuna, 'He tenido un poco de frutos secos ". Sobre todo porque el poema original hablaba de la visita del rey Fernando de España, con su hija Katherine o moderno apodo 'Katty'. Sigue leyendo.

Entonces, ¿qué tiene que ver eso con nuestro Katty bebé?

Tuve un poco de frutos secos,
Nada podría soportarlo
Pero una nuez moscada plata,

La hija del rey de España,
Vino a visitarme,
Y todo por el bien

Su vestido era de color carmesí,
negro era su pelo,
Ella me pidió mi árbol de la nuez

Te voy a dar todo el fruto

Los personajes de la canción infantil "Tuve un poco de nueces de árbol" se cree que se refieren a la visita de la Casa Real de España a la corte del rey Enrique VII Inglés en 1506. El 'Rey de la hija de España "se refiere a la hija del rey Fernando y la reina Isabel de España. Había dos hijas, la princesa Juana y su hermana Catalina de Aragón. La princesa en la canción infantil es, probablemente, Catalina de Aragón que estaba prometida con el príncipe Arturo, el heredero al trono de Inglaterra. Arthur murió y Katherine se casó con el rey Enrique VIII. Fue triste que "tan hermosa princesa" tuviera una vida difícil con Henry como ella era la primera de las seis esposas de Henry y fue desecha por el Rey para dar paso a Ana Bolena. La reina Catalina era muy querido por el pueblo británico que odiaban a su sustitución, a quien llama "La Gran Ramera '. La princesa joven y hermosa se relaciona con la joven Katherine, como una princesa y se inmortaliza en esta canción de cuna de edad.
