Cosito meets the team.

This post was meant to show the whole Barnaby, Maria Teresa, Tutti and Saco group, greeting Cosito on his first visit to their enclosure. Well several things got in the way of that outcome. In the first place Cosito was very nervous. In fact he got caught short of the loo and disgraced himself. Then the team were very excited to meet their new young friend. I wanted some photographs of them all together but it was impossible to get them all in one place at the same time. Our photograph shows Maria Teresa in the foreground with Cosito on my shoulder. There were some surprising reactions. I was initially cautious about this meeting, knowing the male reaction to children of another parent. I expected Barnaby to be aggressive or at least unfriendly. I could not have been more wrong. He embraced the little one like a long lost brother. Now that was a surprise. Maria Teresa had already met Cosito through the wire of the enclosure and I knew that she wanted to mother Cosito. She hugged him and stayed with him all the while he was in the enclosure. Even Tutti and Saco were friendly. They jumped up on my lap and gave Cosito a friendly greeting.    Altogether it was a successful first meeting. My fears were unfounded.

Cosito cumplió su cometido.


La intensión de este artículo es mostrar a Barnaby, María Teresa, Tutti y el grupo de Saco, y mostrar a Cosito en su primera visita al recinto. Bueno tengo varias cosas en el camino de esta prueba. En primer lugar Cosito estaba muy nervioso. De hecho, él quedó atrapado debajo del retrete y se deshonró a sí mismo. Entonces los monos estaban muy emocionados por saludar a su nuevo y joven amigo. Yo quería tomar  unas  fotografías de todos ellos juntos, pero era imposible llegar a todos ellos en un mismo lugar al mismo tiempo. Nuestra fotografía muestra a María Teresa en el primer plano con Cosito en mi hombro. Hubo algunas reacciones sorprendentes. Estaba inicialmente cauteloso acerca de esta reunión, a sabiendas de la reacción masculina a los hijos de otros padres. Yo esperaba que Barnaby fuera agresivo o al menos hostil. No podía estar más equivocado. Abrazó a la pequeña como a un hermano perdido de hace mucho tiempo. Fue una sorpresa. María Teresa ya se había reunido con Cosito a través de las rejas de la jaula y yo sabía que quería ser la madre de Cosito. Ella lo abrazó y se quedó con él todo el tiempo que estuvo en el recinto. Incluso Tutti y Saco eran amistosos. Se levantó de un salto de mi regazo y le dio a Cosito un saludo amistoso. En total, se trato de una primera reunión exitosa. Mis temores fueron infundados.
