The right food.

Its so important to to give monkeys in semi captivity the right diet. We are fortunate in a number of ways. Firstly our compound is right on the edge of deep forest. This means that daily we can give them a variety of fresh leaves, flowers and berries straight from the forest. Araguatoes spend most of their day slowly eating large amounts of low energy leaves. The amount of leaves we would have to collect to equal their wild consumption would look like a mountain. We have a botanic garden where we cultivate tropical fruit. This is a great resource to supplement their diet and give them the energy and sustenance they need.

Los alimentos correctos.


Es tan importante dar a los monos en semi cautiverio la dieta correcta. Tenemos la suerte de tener muchos árboles frutales. En primer lugar nuestro complejo está justo en el borde del bosque profundo. Esto significa que cada día podemos darles una gran variedad de hojas frescas, flores y bayas directamente desde el bosque. Los Araguatos pasan la mayor parte del día comiendo lentamente grandes cantidades de hojas de baja energía. La cantidad de hojas que tendríamos que recoger a igualar su consumo salvaje se vería como una montaña. Tenemos un jardín botánico donde se cultivan frutas tropicales. Este es un gran recurso para complementar su dieta y les dan la energía y el sustento que necesitan.
