Both Lucio and Toula get a family visit.

Both families started out from Caracas very early this morning and arrived mid morning. Both Lucio and Toula had a family visit today. Our photographs show Carolina with Gilda in the left picture, visiting Lucio, and on the righ Suzanne with her sister and mother, visiting Toula.
The families brought the children many gifts for which we are very grateful. They were all able to spend quality time with the children. Our attitude towards visitors is very different to that of some shelters. They believe that family visitors destabilize the monkeys whereas that is not our experience. Time, yesterday today and tomorrow are philosophic values that are meaningless to a monkey. But sensations like love and hate are very real. When loving families visit, the monkey experiences again the love that they have already experienced. This reenforces the care and love that we at Canaote show to the children. Please keep coming, they remember you and still love you.

Lucio y Toula tienen una visita familiar.
Ambas familias salieron de Caracas muy temprano esta mañana y llegaron al mediodía. Lucio y Toula tenían una visita familiar hoy. Nuestras fotografías muestran a Carolina con Gilda en el cuadro izquierdo, familia de Lucio, y a la derecha Suzanne con su hermana y mima, la familia de Toula.
Las familias les trajeron muchos regalos a los niños que nosotros agradecemos. Ellos pudieron pasar tiempo de calidad con los niños. Nuestra actitud hacia los visitantes es muy diferente a la de algunos refugios. Ellos creen que los visitantes familiares desestabilizan a los monos, consideramos, que ésa no es nuestra experiencia. El tiempo de ayer hoy y mañana son valores sicológicos que son sin sentido para un mono. Pero las sensaciones como el amor y odio son muy reales. Cuando las familias amorosas los visitan, los monos experimenta el amor que ellos ya han experimentado de nuevo. Esto refuerza el cuidado y amor que nosotros en Cañaote mostramos a los niños. Por favor siga viniendo, ellos lo recuerdan y todavía lo aman.
