I invited readers to add to my list of things that you do not find in the scientific literature about Howler monkeys. Gabriela has fostered Howlers for many years and is an acute observer of their behaviour. She has contributed these remarks.
 In passing, just look at magnificent Marco but when tempted to buy a wild monkey, think how he would fit into your living room. The little ball of red fur at the roadside soon becomes like Marco...BIG.

 I have an adult howler Alpha with very bad temper, but he enjoys playing with a puppy that I have in my house. Both male or female, like to touch and play with baby animals, such as puppies or kittens.
My monkey Marco, who is super protective of his partner, does not allow anyone to approach her and is always watching in case anyone should touch her.
Howlers scratch their ears with their feet not with their hands. (Although I have seen them cleaning their ears with their fingers.  Philip).
As you will see it is very interesting to observe these beautiful animals and there is so much that is not recorded in the scientific literature. We have still much to learn about our neighbour '.

Invité a los lectores a añadir a mi lista de cosas que no se encuentran en la literatura científica sobre los monos aulladores. Gabriela ha protegido Aulladores por muchos años y es una aguda observadora de su comportamiento. Ha colaborado en estas observaciones.
De paso, basta con ver al magnífico Marco, pero cuando sienta la tentación de comprar un mono salvaje, imagine cuando crezca, como este mono va a encajar en la sala de su casa. La pequeña bola de pelo rojo en el borde de la carretera se convierte rápidamente en el gran Marco ...

Tengo un mono aullador adulto Alfa con muy mal genio, pero a él le gusta jugar con un cachorro de perro que tengo en mi casa. Tanto monos machos como hembras adultas, les gusta tocar y jugar con bebé, tales como perritos o gatitos.
Mi mono Marco, que es súper protector de su pareja, no permite a nadie acercarse a ella y siempre está listo para atacar en el caso de que alguien la tocara.
A los Aulladores les gusta rascarse las orejas con los pies, no con sus manos. (Aunque he visto limpiar los oídos con sus dedos también. “Philip”).
Como se verá, es muy interesante observar estos bellos animales y no es tanto que no se registra en la literatura científica. Todavía tenemos mucho que aprender acerca de nuestro vecino.
