Man proposes monkey disposes.

On Friday of last week a section of the wire around the enclosure of Schatov and Lucio became corroded and this resulted in a large hole at ground level. Schatov took advantage of this hole to go visiting. At first I was puzzled. Schatov always comes to me when I call. We are special friends. But this time he climbed the nearest mango tree and soon he was in the canopy far above my head. First he headed for the new enclosure which I was hoping would become his new home. Had he changed his mind? Did he like it after all? He gave it short attention. What he was looking for was not there. He continued his journey until he reached Sophie's enclosure and there he stopped. He searched the wire for an entrance, all the time making loving signs with his mouth. He had come to court Sophie. He would not come to me. He suspected that I would return him to his own enclosure. Finally he asked me for help and I obligingly opened the door for him. He scrambled down from the roof and entered Sophie's house. Sophie was waiting for him inside and the pair of them exited the house and went to sit together in the garden. I had planned putting them both together in the refurbished Big House. I have already told you the story of how that idea was rejected by both of them. Schatov has come up with another answer. 'We will live in her house'.
They have been living together for four days and they appear to be compatible but already Schatov is asking me to take him home. This is a very complicated relationship. I intend to give them more time together to see if they resolve the problem. In the meantime Lucio has assumed the role of Alpha in that community. This could be a problem if Schatov decides to return after all. More news as it comes.

El hombre propone pero el mono dispone.

El viernes de la semana pasada una sección del alambre alrededor del cercamiento de Schatov y Lucio se corroyó y esto produjo un agujero grande. Schatov se aprovechó de este agujero para escaparse. Al principio yo estaba confundido. Schatov siempre viene a mí cuando yo lo llamo. Nosotros somos unos amigos especiales. Pero esta vez él subió al árbol de mango más cercano y pronto él estaba lejos en el dosel. Primero él se dirigió hacia el nuevo cercamiento que yo había construido para él. ¿Él había cambiado de idea? ¿Le gustó después de todo? Él le prestó poca atención. Lo que para él estaba pareciendo no estaba allí. Él continuó su jornada hasta que él alcanzara el cercamiento de Sophie y allí se detuvo. Él investigó el alambre para buscar una entrada, él hacia todas las señales amorosas con su boca. Él había venido a cortejar a Sophie. Él no vendría a mí. Él sospechó que yo lo devolvería a su propio cercamiento. Finalmente él me pidió ayuda y yo abrí la puerta complacientemente para él. Él corrió abajo del tejado y entró en la casa de Sophie. Sophie estaba esperando por él dentro y ellos dos terminaron en la casa y luego se fueron a sentar juntos en el jardín. Yo había planeado reunirlos a ambos en la Casa Grande restaurada. Yo ya les he contado la historia de cómo esa idea fue rechazada por ellos dos. Schatov hizo otra propuesta. ‘Nosotros viviremos en la casa de Sophie'.
Ellos han estado viviendo juntos durante cuatro días y ellos parecen ser compatibles pero ya Schatov está pidiéndome que lo lleve a su antigua casa. Ésta es una relación muy complicada. Yo pienso darles más tiempo juntos para ver si ellos resuelven el problema. En el entretanto Lucio ha asumido el papel de Alfa en la comunidad de Shatov. Éste podría ser un problema si Schatov decide volver después de todo. Más noticias de esta historia pronto.

Nuestra fotografía muestra Lucio que se comporta el Alfa. Él incluso me amenazó pero ablanda cuando él comprendió que yo tenía una bolsa de nueces favoritas.
