We have 28 monkeys in Canaote Monkey Rescue. For me this has been a work of love and a mission from Our Lord. He gave me this work 19 years ago and I have tried faithfully to care for and love the monkeys brought to me. I also care for the wild ones in the forest. I champion their cause, and as best as a lone individual can, protect their place in the forest.
Of the 28 monkeys we have here only 2 previous owners have kept their promise to send me a donation each month. I have been left to shoulder this burden alone.
I only have my very small British pension, nothing else.
I think it a shame that peoples memory and responsibility is so poor as to forget the little people that were their responsibility.
They took these children from the jungle to serve their own pleasure. But when the monkey was no more fun or convenient, they dumped the little monkeys on me. Shame.

Tenemos 28 monos e Cañaote Mono de Rescate. Para mí esto ha sido un trabajo de amor y una misión de Nuestro Señor. Él me dio este trabajo hace 19 años y he probado fielmente a cuidar y amar a los monos traído a mí. También me preocupo por los salvajes en el bosque. De los 28 monos que hemos aquí sólo 2 dueños anteriores han cumplido su promesa de enviarme una donación cada mes. Me han dejado a asumir esta carga solo.
Sólo tengo mi muy pequeña pensión británica, nada más.
Creo que es una lástima que la memoria los pueblos y la responsabilidad es tan pobre como para olvidar las pequeñas personas que eran su responsabilidad.
Se llevaron a estos niños de la selva para servir a su propio placer. Pero cuando el mono no era más divertido o conveniente, tiraron los monitos en mí. Vergüenza.
